ABSTRACT:
To make sure that their operations could function around-the-clock and without any problems, those responsible for IT at Acer had to look for a software solution that could safeguard mission-critical data and offer reliability. Short-listed to meet these demands was NetVault from BakBone.
NetVault overwhelmingly met all their requirements and they were also convinced by the product??????????????s low implementation and ownership costs. NetVault is designed to meet the requirements of departmental installations and to scale up to meet the needs of enterprise installation strategies.
Acer therefore decided to implement BakBone??????????????s NetVault in order to backup Acer??????????????s Oracle database and servers. Today Acer is using a NetVault Data Center license for Linux. Besides supporting Linux, NetVault backup and recovery software is designed for mixed heterogeneous networks including support for Windows NT/2000, Unix and Netware. As a result, Acer is also using NetVault to backup MS SQL databases.
